LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven, individual to join the team as a Lead Software Test Engineer in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for assisting the Software Development Manager with coordinating the daily activities of the software testing group.**This position is fully remote**

Responsibilities
– Perform and demonstrate expertise in all job duties of a Software Test Engineer (such as completing manual and automated testing duties)
– Manage the Software Test Engineer group’s daily activities, prioritizing testing activities through collaboration with the Product Owner and Lead Software Engineer
– Provide guidance and recommendations on the testing of new software programs and reports, independently analyzing the requirements, specifications, and other documents to ensure complete test coverage
– Provide input and feedback to improve and refine testing strategies used by the Software Development team
– Assist with defect and enhancement accessing and triage
– Mentor and train other Software Test Engineers in the appropriate use of tools, testing techniques, and application of the team’s processes
– Develop and review detailed test case specifications
– Actively engage in communications regarding blood banking terminology, practices, and processes
– Support validation and user acceptance testing. Prepare environments, investigate issues, and coordinate with appropriate user groups
– Attendance is a requirement of this position
Qualifications
– Associate’s degree in computer science or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted
– Advanced computer skills and experience with software programs such as Microsoft Office and Software Testing suites
– Minimum of five years of experience in testing software applications with at least three year’s using automated testing tools
– Valid driver’s license required. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
– Proficient computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
– Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and familiarity with PL/SQL programming
– Must understand the software testing life cycle
– Skill in effectively communicating with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of the organization, both orally and in writing
– Experience in blood banking preferred
