
startGNV recently welcomed six new members from the Greater Gainesville community to its Board of Directors, rounding out a larger group of diverse professionals who support the growth of the innovation ecosystem of Greater Gainesville.
Local non-profit startGNV recently welcomed six new members from the Greater Gainesville community to its Board of Directors. The new members round out a group of diverse professionals who support the growth of the innovation ecosystem of Greater Gainesville.
New members include Andrew Espejo (Inceptor Bio), Laila Fakhoury (How Bazar and Dion Dia Records), Michael Selvester (Jabil), Rebecca Smith (Thrifty), Angelica Suarez (Resilia and Yellow Consulting), and India Sugar (PRECISIONeffect). Among these new members are founders as well as professionals in industries that include biotech, law, marketing, non-profit, and sales. They join current board members Jon Church (Microsoft), Christine Caven (PS27 Ventures), Elliott Welker (UF Innovate/Sid Martin Biotech), Scott Schroeder (Liquid Creative), Stacy Burrell(Consero Global), Neil Israel (Sketchology Studios), and Sarah Ryals (Prysmian Group).

“We are proud to continue the expansion of talent and industry on our board of directors,” said Tammy Dygert who serves as the Executive Director of the non-profit startGNV. “The skill and passion this Board of Directors brings to our ecosystem is truly inspiring. I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish this year with that energy.”
The new members are led by current Board President Jon Church. Together, the Board of Directors will continue the organization’s support of local startups, individuals and established Gainesville area tech and biotech companies through a variety of programs and events. We look forward to another great year ahead in support of innovation in Greater Gainesville!
