This Gainesville-based company helps people with disabilities receive the benefits they are medically, legally and ethically qualified for.
Who is Trajector? Accessing healthcare in the United States is often a complex and inefficient journey. Millions of Americans struggle to obtain their disability benefits due to simple lack of awareness, confusing and complicated eligibility and documentation standards, and burdensome procedures. Many people are leaving significant disability compensation on the table, and the number of applicants who are wrongfully denied benefits continues to rise. Trajector uses technology and decades of refined learning to help clients better understand, access, and navigate benefit programs. Trajector guides the underserved and at-risk population of people with disabilities in their quest to receive disability benefits they medically, legally, and ethically qualify for from both government and private entities.

How did we get our start? Trajector was founded in September 2014 by Jim Hill, Gina Uribe and Rich Blaser to change the life trajectory of our clients. Gina Uribe, an experienced nurse practitioner, worked for many years as a compensation and pension disability medical examiner with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Each morning she would walk the grounds where she met a number of homeless Veterans. Gina knew disability compensation would make a difference for them, but she also realized they did not have the proper resources to pursue their VA disability benefits. Jim Hill, an entrepreneur and U.S. Navy Veteran, shared Gina’s passion for helping Veterans. Together with Rich Blaser, the three formed Vet Comp & Pen, LLC, which focused on assisting Veterans in pursuing their VA disability benefits. Now known as Trajector, the organization’s various business units provide our clients a robust continuum of disability benefits and compensation services.

Trajector’s team members participate in many local events such as the Out of Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention and the Paychecks for Patriots Job Fair
What makes Trajector unique? Trajector continues to offer remote-first career opportunities, with the option of hybrid work for team members in the Gainesville area. We are proud of our family-like culture where team members can grow professionally and maintain a healthy work and life integration. Finally, our team members say our mission is both a passion and a calling. Our mission: Helping people with disabilities pursue the benefits they are medically, legally and ethically qualified for. The concept in starting Trajector was to build not just a business, but a community with a purpose beyond profit. Though the original kitchen office was outgrown, our founding principles have never changed. The first Veterans Gina helped before Trajector started were able to get to a better place in their lives. That positivity and optimism carries over to our organization today and has always been at the core of our mission.
The roles we are trying to fill now and expect to have open in the future: Client Relationship Specialist, Medical Intake Specialist (inside sales), Invoicing, and IT Support Representative.
