SUMMARY:aiGNV Lunch Meetup: Trends\, Tools\, Real Use Cases
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a casual lunch meetup to dive into the latest trends\, tools\, and real-world use cases in AI.\n\n\nWelcome to the monthly AI for Business Meetup! \nPresented by startGNV & GNV.AI \nJoin us for the first AI for Business Lunch Meetup. It’ll be full of useful insight and real talk about how local businesses are putting AI to work today. Whether you’re a founder\, freelancer\, manager\, marketer\, or just AI-curious\, this meetup is a chance to connect with others in the Gainesville business and tech community who are testing\, building\, and learning in real-time. \nWe’ll kick things off with an opportunity to order lunch during an informal meet and greet at 11:30 am\, followed by a few short\, no-fluff presentations from local operators showing what they’re doing with AI tools and more—and how it’s affecting their workflows\, output\, and bottom line. Co-hosted by startGNV and GNV.AI\, this is your front-row seat to how generative AI is being applied right here in Gainesville and around North Central Florida. \nThere is plenty of parking. The meeting will be in the third-floor meeting room.

SUMMARY:BarCamp 2026 by StartGNV
DESCRIPTION:Gainesville’s community-created conference! A low-cost gathering for community members to share presentations and learn from one another.ABOUT BARCAMP Below you will find the basic info about this incredible event or Visit the BarCamp website HERE note: you can also scroll to the bottom of this page and learn more details under the “Know Before You Go” section COMMUNITY AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BarCamp is an ad-hoc “un”conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. The day is crafted largely by the community\, based on topics they pick to share. It is a 1-day event with discussions\, demos\, and interaction from attendees. Who should attend? Anyone who is passionate about a topic they’d like to share or anyone with a desire to learn and connect with others. When you come\, be prepared to share with barcampers – whether it’s a topic you’d like to present or you want to participate in discussion. There will be open slots for the taking on a first come\, first serve basis. The talks cannot include any sales pitches. Presentations (including a brief Q&A) will be 30 minutes. Suggested themes for these presentations include: Entrepreneur – Talk about your journey\, successes\, and setbacks.Creative – Share creative tips\, like building brands and illustrating.Technology – Talk about hardware and software that you love to geek out with.Kitchen Sink – Discuss a topic that does not fit into one of the other tracks. When you leave\, be prepared to share what you learned with the world! The ticket price includes lunch. If you would like to attend but the $15 fee is prohibitive\, please send us an email at Team@startgnv.com Attendees must give a demo\, a session\, or help with one\, or otherwise engage in some way with the event (such as be an active listener in the audience and ask questions!). All presentations are scheduled the day they happen. Prepare in advance\, and be ready to present with and without audio/visual equipment. Come early to get a slot on the wall and remember that the talks need to be free of sales pitches. Attendees will select the demos or presentations they want to see. Questions? Contact team@startgnv.com Things to Know Before You Go Once you’ve registered\, here are some helpful things to know before you go: Check-In Check-in officially starts at 9:00 inside the lobby of the new Blount Hall on West University Avenue and 6th Street. Use the double doors of the main lobby (these are the doors that face the parking lot)Coffee and light breakfast items will be provided by our generous breakfast sponsorParking There is a parking lot behind the building for attendee use as well as street parking. Presenters ARRIVE EARLY. While we can’t guarantee that everyone who wants to present will get a slot\, you’ll have a better chance if you arrive early SLOTS. There will be a whiteboard containing the rooms and timeslots. You will look for an available slot and place your name and presentation name on it. If for some reason\, there isn’t a slot for your presentation this year\, we hope you’ll still participate as an audience member and use the day to network\, support other presenters\, and learn.EQUIPMENT. The spaces will be equipped with a projector and screen (and in some rooms a computer will already be in place. Plan accordingly. This might mean bringing your own laptop and a thumb drive with a powerpoint/presentation that has any necessary items embedded items in it. You should also be prepared to present without A/V and WI-Fi (just in case). TIMING. Sessions should last no more than 30 minutes and that includes an optional Q&A. If you plan to include a Q&A\, aim to keep your overall presentation to approximately 20-25 minutes. We will do our best to have volunteers in each room to help you keep track of time\, but it is highly recommended that you also set a timer on your phone or ask a friend in the audience to do so to help keep things on track.BE FLEXIBLE Audience-participants will float into various spaces. Though we’ll have signage for each room\, and do everything we can to mitigate disruption\, don’t be surprised if some attendees initially get lost or need to move through your space to get to another location. HAVE FUN sharing your expertise and in being an audience member! Our community is eager to learn and you will play a big part in that. Lunch Lunch will be a boxed lunch w/ bottled water. The lunch items are based on reservations made through EventBrite on the days leading up to the event. Our final order will need to be placed on Monday\, 5/11 and we will do our best to accommodate dietary preferences and later registrations. The following spaces will be available for networking while eating: main lobby of Blount Hall and outdoor tables in front of the main entrance. General Schedule BarCamp will occur from 9:00am until approximately 3:00 pm. The first session will start around 10 We will provide 15 minute breaks between sessions. Sessions will occur in 4 spaces on the first floor of the Blount Center over the course of the day\, allowing for a total of 28 presentations. Post-BarCamp Networking BarCamp will end around 3:00 so we have adequate time to break things down\, but we encourage continued networking downtown. More on options for that will be shared closer to the event date. Questions? Email team@startgnv.com
